Love Lines Moves Again and Buys a Building
After our move to the offices in Southeast Minneapolis in 1988, Helen Velonis started prophesying annually that we were going to buy our own building, one that had many windows and a tree in the lobby.

I didn't want to buy a building so I paid no attention to her prophesies, even though she had been right every time before. For six years she would prophesy this, along with other things.

The personal computer came into its own in 1988, starting with the 286, then the 386 and then 486's, Pentiums and beyond. This changed everything we were doing in the office. The technology race was on. We were able to track everything better, and almost everything we were doing could be done on computer. We tracked incoming calls, where people found our telephone number, what kinds of results the counselors were getting, income and expenses, our staff information, our contributors and so on.

When we reached 1994 things began to grow faster. I wanted to move again because the rent was so high. I started looking for rental space for half the price. Helen then prophesied, "The building is near." I asked God if that meant near in time or near in distance from our present center, but God said nothing.

I was almost ready to sign the lease for a space I found for half price, but the staff didn't want to move there because it was in such bad shape. One morning as I was driving Mable Hedberg, an older retired lady, home from our 5:00 a.m. prayer session, I stopped at a stop sign on Johnson Street and 33rd Avenue in NE Minneapolis. I was having a heated argument with God. I told Him that I was about to sign the lease, so He better speak up about the building. I said I would buy a building for half price or rent for half price.
