We’ll take a little look at how people get ensnared by pornography and how we can set them free.

In general, 'addictions' are 'bondage' when you can't break free from their hold on your life.

Ensnared by pornography

People used to go out to get a Playboy magazine or rent a video but you always had to worry while you were buying the magazine whether or not your neighbor or friend would be buying a magazine that same night. Or whether someone you know in the video store might see you going in or out.  And with renting a porn video, you always have to consider, "Am I going to be able to get the house to myself for a couple of hours so that nobody in the house will know what I am doing?" All the while you were out you had time to hear the Holy Spirit say things like "Don’t do that. Don’t do that."

Now that you have easy internet access, you can have a tempting thought and in a minute or two you can be over to the computer, in a lot of trouble. It's in the privacy of your home with much less chance of anyone seeing what you're doing. So if you've had a pornography addiction, the computer is now the easiest way to acquire pornography and it has become the way of choice.

How do you
get set free?

Occasionally people come to my office and say “Yeah my wife found my pornography stash on the internet and all my files and she’s really upset. Can you help me? Or his wife will come in and we’ll counsel together and one of her many concerns about their marriage is that her husband is using internet pornography or pornography in general.

How can anyone get set free from this bondage?
The bottom line is, I’m not the bondage breaker, Love Lines isn’t the bondage breaker, Neil Anderson isn’t the bondage breaker -  Jesus is the bondage breaker.
